ScummVM ist ein Interpreter für diverse Point & Click Adventures. Am Anfang der Entwicklung lag ihr Augenmerk auf Spiele, die in der Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion-Engine (kurz SCUMM) geschrieben worden sind, allerdings wurde im Laufe der Zeit weiter Adventures hinzugefügt, die eine andere Engine verwendeten. Außerdem handelt es sich hier nicht um einen Emulator, sondern um einen Interpreter, da für die Spiele keine Hardware emuliert wird. Mittlerweile ist es möglich über 100 Retro Adventures zu spielen.
Spielstände
Es gibt leider noch nicht viel Pandora spezifisches zu schreiben, aber das sollte erwähnt werden.
ScummVM speichert unter Linux die Spielstände standardmäßig unter:
/home/benutzer/.scummvm
ab. Auf der Pandora speichert ScummVM die Spielstände und Einstellungen auf der SD Karte unter:
/pandora/appdata/scummvm
Innerhalb des ScummVM Menüs lässt sich allerdings der Speicherpfad sowohl global als auch für jedes Spiel separat ändern.
Kompatibilitätsliste
Hier findet ihr eine Liste der Spiele, die kompatibel zu ScummVM sind. Die Liste wurde direkt von der ScummVM Homepage übernommen und mit einer weiteren Spalte für die Kompatibilät zur Pandora ergänzt.
